Terms of Service
By creating an account or using AuraGrade, you agree to these terms. They are written in plain English on purpose. If a clause is unclear, email support@auragrade.com.
1. What AuraGrade is
AuraGrade is an AI-powered pre-grading service for trading cards. We produce a four-axis score, defect crops, and a written report. AuraGrade is not an authoritative grading service. We are not affiliated with PSA, BGS, CGC, Aura Grading (UK), Aura Grading (US), Collect Aura, or any other grading house. "AuraGrade" refers to this service and brand only; any similarity in name to other entities is coincidental. Our prediction is informational and does not replace, substitute for, or guarantee the outcome of any submission to those services. Treat every score as an estimate. AuraGrade is currently operated by its founding team; for legal notices, billing questions, or service of process, email support@auragrade.com — we respond within two business days. Once we incorporate, this clause will be updated to name the legal entity and you will receive an in-product notice.
2. Disclaimers and confidence
Every prediction is published with a confidence band (50%–99%) reflecting input quality. Low confidence means we are uncertain — do not bet money on a low-confidence score. AuraGrade is a screening signal for pre-grading decisions, not a guarantee of any specific grade or grading outcome; predictions are directional and do not replace, substitute for, or guarantee the outcome of any third-party grading submission. The quantitative accuracy range AuraGrade publishes on /accuracy is informational and not a contractual representation. Your sole and exclusive remedy for any discrepancy between an AuraGrade prediction and a third-party grader outcome is governed by §8 (Limitation of liability).
3. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. You may sign up with email and password or with Google. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without authorization, share accounts commercially, or use bots to scrape reports.
4. Payment
All payments are processed by Stripe. One-shot purchases — Single Scan ($0.99 / 1 credit), Saver Pack ($4.99 / 6 credits — buy 5, get 1 free), Standard Pack ($15.99 / 25 credits), Power Pack ($39.99 / 75 credits) — are charged immediately. Pack credits remain valid while your account is active; accounts inactive for 12+ months may have unused credits voided. Pro Monthly ($19.99/month / 25 credits) and Pro Yearly ($179.99/year / 300 credits) renew automatically and may be cancelled any time from Settings → Subscription. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. Yearly subscriptions cancelled mid-period will have any credits beyond the months actually elapsed clamped at cancellation. Subscription-included credits do not roll over between billing cycles. Refunds: full prorated refund if the grading service fails to deliver a report due to a fault on our side; pack credits refundable within 14 days of purchase if zero scans were used. Prices are in USD; taxes may apply.
5. Acceptable use
You may not (a) scrape AuraGrade automatically, (b) impersonate other collectors or institutions, (c) use AuraGrade output to falsely certify cards as graded by PSA, BGS, CGC, or any other house, (d) upload imagery of cards you do not have the legal right to photograph, or (e) use the service to harass others. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Intellectual property
AuraGrade owns the Aura Matrix rubric, the rubric→score engine, the brand, the website, and all proprietary software. The vision model used for defect identification is licensed from Anthropic (Claude); AuraGrade's code applies the rubric on top of that model's output. You retain full ownership of the card images you upload — we receive only a limited license to process them in order to deliver the service to you. You also own the resulting reports. We may publish anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g. average grade by set) without identifying individual users.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Security. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice except where the violation is severe or ongoing (fraud, abuse, illegal content). On termination we delete your data per the Privacy Policy retention schedule.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AuraGrade's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is capped at the total fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages — including the difference between an AuraGrade prediction and a final third-party grading outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow this limitation; in those, the cap is the maximum permitted by local law. Your sole and exclusive remedy under this Agreement is a refund of the fees paid for the specific grading scan in dispute; AuraGrade shall not be liable for the difference between a prediction and any third-party grading outcome, market valuation, or resale price.
9. Dispute resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to AuraGrade — including its accuracy, refunds, billing, or account termination — will be resolved by individual, binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules current at filing, with the seat in San Francisco, California. You and AuraGrade each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. Public injunctive relief carve-out: notwithstanding the above, claims for public injunctive relief may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction. Opt-out: you may opt out of this section by emailing support@auragrade.com within 60 days of first creating your account; opt-out preserves all other terms. Small-claims court actions are exempt. Governing law: California, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. If any portion of this section is found unenforceable, the remainder remains in force. This section survives termination.
